"HIBIYA BLOSSOM ART GARDEN" project

The work of Takashi Hokoi, a lecturer at the 3D studio in the design department, is being exhibited as a "HIBIYA BLOSSOM ART GARDEN" project at Tokyo Midtown Hibiya / 6F Parkview Garden.

Work concept: Despite being in the center of the city, Parkview Garden, which overlooks the best nature in Tokyo such as Hibiya Park and the Imperial Palace, is a place where people and nature can face each other. The recent threat of "viruses" has reminded us that we are being used in nature. By confronting human technology and nature, both sides sometimes collide and sometimes collaborate. In the warm spring breeze, I want to create time to ponder the relationship between nature and people in the center of the city.

Organizer: Tokyo Midtown Hibiya,

Planning cooperation: Tokyo University of the Arts

With the cooperation of everyone in Tokyo Midtown Hibiya and Professor Kanada of the Department of Architecture, we managed to complete it with the support of many students. We would like to thank everyone for their cooperation. A talk event is also planned on April 10th. We will contact you for more details. (Reprinted from Takashi Hokoi's Facebook page)

For the exhibition

We asked Takashi Hokoi, an artist who works in various places on the theme of the relationship between nature and people, to produce a project that was commissioned at Tokyo Midtown Hibiya / 6F Parkview Garden and overlooks Hibiya Park and the Imperial Palace. I did. It is a wonderful work in which nature and man-made objects gently face each other. Since it is an outdoor exhibition, you can relax while feeling the wind.
